Due to the growth Animal Rescue of Carroll has experienced, the time has come to limit our area of take-in service. ARC can only help find new homes for pets within Carroll County, Iowa borders.

We do not have borders when it comes to adopting, but all new owners must come to Carroll, Iowa to pick up the pets.

A fee will also be instituted for all pets placed into a temporary home for adoption. We ask for a $20 donation per animal ($30 for litters) before the animal(s) will be put on the website and work commences in finding a new home. Fees are nominal and will facilitate our volunteers in the many, many activities it takes to place an animal in a new home. We also ask owners to provide digital pictures of the pets being put up for adoption and an Owner's Release form. Forms can be picked up or dropped off at Iowa Community Credit Union, Environment Health Office in the Courthouse, The Dog S'Paw or mailed.

If you fall outside of Carroll County, you can look at this list of other Iowa Shelters and perhaps find one that works for you: http://www.midwestpetfinder.com/iowa_shelters.htm
